The Majestic Metro, which was built in 1926, has become one of Houston’s most sought-after wedding venues, and it’s no surprise why. The marquee lighting and vintage neon make for a perfect photo backdrop. This couple took advantage of this gorgeous venue and created a movie themed wedding to remember! Read on to learn more about this couple’s stunning wedding.
Classic and Sparkling Details
The bride and groom went with classic attire that added to the old Hollywood feeling of their wedding day. The groom wore a timeless black tux with a black satin bowtie, which was perfectly fitting for the style of the day. A simple white boutonniere was pinned to his collar, and he went with classic black cufflinks to bring the entire ensemble together.
The bride chose a gown with a gorgeous lace overlay and a long train that made a statement as she prepared to walk down the aisle.
Her bridesmaids wore sparkling, vintage inspired gowns that went with their movie theme perfectly – each member of the bridal party looked like they belonged on the red carpet.
Majestic Decor at the Metro
The couple filled the inside of the Metro theater with glam decor and luxurious florals – which matched the venue’s architecture and decor perfectly.
The centerpieces and place settings made each guest feel like they were at an old Hollywood party. They kept their color palette simple – the lights and decor in the theater added all the color they needed.
The Big Kiss
The couple exchanged vows inside the theater as well. The wedding party took center stage, which was the perfect place to say ‘I Do’. The guests cheered and the couple shared their first kiss as husband and wife.
Star-Studded Details
With centerpieces of white florals mixed with greenery, their tables were stunning. They even sported some familiar glittering gold table numbers!
They incorporated gold mercury glass vases that added a little bit of extra sparkle to their tables.
Each guest received a ‘ticket’ at their place setting – a fun memento to take home with them.
Movie Inspired Decor & Favors
The tables at this movie lover’s wedding were named after movies like Jurassic Park and Wedding Crashers. Framed into intricate gold baroque frames, this was a fun way to share their favorite movies with the guests.
Guests were sent home with a personalized coaster that looked like a film reel. It’s the perfect favor for guests to relive the star studded affair!
A Gorgeous (and Delicious!) Cake
The five-tiered cake was a showstopper. With gorgeous flowers, intricate detailing and a bit of sparkle, it was the perfect cake for their wedding theme.
The couple shared a traditional cake cutting at their reception before each guest got to have a taste of the stunning cake.
And after they tasted the cake, they toasted to their marriage with engraved champagne glasses.
A Grand Exit
When they exited the Majestic Metro, guests tossed flower petals and cheered for the newlyweds. A grand exit for a gorgeous, movie-inspired wedding day!
