There’s nothing more special than exchanging wedding vows at a place that is special to a couple, and for this bride and groom the venue could not have been more magical. They were married at the bride’s parent’s farmhouse and had a picturesque wedding with lots of special details. Read on to see how they used their surroundings to influence the design and decor.
An Ideal Location
Is there anything more wonderful than getting married at a family farm? The couple always knew they would be married at the bride’s parent’s farm, so other venues weren’t even considered. They enjoyed feeling literally at home their entire wedding day and their classically gorgeous attire was perfect for the farmhouse setting.
A Sweet First Look
There’s nothing sweeter than the groom’s face the first time he sees the bride, and this wedding wasn’t any different. Their first look was done among the orchard – the perfect setting for the start of a wonderful day.
Chic Details
A simple floral crown was the perfect accessory for the bride, and it complimented the details on her gown to create a chic and timeless look on her wedding day. The moody florals in the crown added an extra bit of romance to her look.
The groom opted for a royal blue tuxedo with a black bowtie – an unexpected yet timeless look that went well with the farmhouse and orchard setting so nicely.
A Stunning Ceremony
The bride walked down the aisle to her groom carrying a stunning cascading bouquet complete with ribbons to match her wedding colors.
A bohemian style altar hanging complete with macrame and hanging plants was the backdrop for their gorgeous ceremony.
Sweet Details and Sentiments
The couple left no detail untouched. Quirky signage led the guests around the property.
Instead of a traditional guestbook, the bride and groom had a photo guest book and requested guest to snap a photo and leave them a special note. This will truly be a keepsake they will look at for years to come.
Even their wedding favors were personalized to their own interests and were a wonderful parting gift for their guests.
Fun for All Ages
The wedding wasn’t just fun for adults – with a variety of yard games, kids had fun and kept busy with croquet and Jenga.
Inspired by the Setting
The bride and groom decided early on that they were going to let the location define the aesthetic of their day. With a pomegranate orchard, an olive grove and a large vegetable garden, their entire day felt very organic and ‘farm-to-table’.
Their farmhouse chic wedding had a twist though – one inspired by their Mediterranean travels. They let their experiences influence their day – like setting up long tables filled with Spanish tapas and sipping on drinks reminiscent of their time in Italy.
Guests raised their glasses to the bride and groom amongst the trees and enjoyed a special treat at their place setting.
Their first dance as bride and groom was surrounded by loved ones – a truly magical way to begin their new life together.
