Hot air balloons have always been special to this couple. They first met in a parking lot filled with hot air balloons, and the groom eventually proposed to the bride in a hot air balloon! So it was only fitting to theme their wedding around this bright, meaningful object. But the big, bright balloon wasn’t the only detail that made this wedding stand out. Here are six amazing details from this special wedding.
Hot Air Balloon
This happy couple was not messing around with their theme – they had a full-sized hot air balloon at the venue! The bright colors added to the happiness of the day, and it made a gorgeous backdrop for wedding photos.
Loving Signs
Love was certainly in the air at this wedding. From the big smiles to the beautiful signs, it was clear these two were soulmates. Some signs were just love quotes while others guided guests to certain parts of the wedding.
Watercolor Artist
Photographers are a must at any wedding, but this couple decided to take it a step further and hire a watercolor artist, too! She sat at the back of the ceremony capturing the scene in pastel paints.
Vintage, Rustic Décor
Although the hot air balloon elements added a lot of bright colors to the mix, the rest of the wedding had a rustic and vintage feel to it. The reception tables were wood and the accents gold. Votives, flowers and travel-inspired favors lined the tables. And the plates almost remind us of our vintage paper plates!
Brunch Food
Weddings often serve fancy steak or fish entrees, but instead this wedding focused on a different meal: Brunch! They catered in from a local restaurant where they often ate brunch. Omelets, pastries and mimosas for everyone!
Confetti Kiss
And when the bride and groom kissed for the first time after saying their vows, they were showered with beautiful confetti. This paired well with the bright hot air balloon theme and further displayed their true love for each other!
