A little vintage and a lot of glam inspired this amazing speakeasy themed wedding. Even the rain couldn’t stop the celebration! Keep reading for some 1920s meets modern-day inspiration.
Sophisticated Bridal Style
The bride rocked a gorgeous lace mermaid gown that was the perfect complement to the couple’s wedding theme. She was ecstatic that all proceeds of her dress benefited education for disadvantaged children since it was purchased at The Bridal Garden in New York City.
The lovely bride added a little shimmer to her ensemble with a sparkly pair of Miu Miu heels and opted for a beautiful white and green bouquet.
A Dapper Bridal Party
The groomsmen showed off their style with classic gray suits, while the groom looked dapper in a debonair navy suit.
The pretty bridesmaids matched the groomsmen in flowy gray dresses. Bundles of Baby’s Breath made simple yet delicate bridesmaid bouquets!
Vintage Touches and Traditions
Cool vintage touches were incorporated throughout the wedding. The reception venue, The Green Building, was originally constructed as a brass foundry in 1889 and has been converted into an elegant industrial event space. It even boasts its own speakeasy room and vintage truck!
The couple fused their two Jewish and Protestant backgrounds to include two beautiful traditions, an Irish “hand-fasting” and a stomping of the glass, into their wedding ceremony. Since the bride’s mother couldn’t attend the wedding, the groom also gave the bride a sentimental gift, a locket with a picture inside of her and her mom.
Industrial Details
With tall brick walls and exposed beam ceilings, the ceremony and reception venue was the perfect location based on its beautiful interior alone. Gold chandeliers and vintage decor polished the industrial look.
An Impromptu Photo Shoot
The couple expected rain on their big day, but they managed to capture a few incredible moments on a carousel with their bridal party!
A Glamorous Reception Dress
The bride amped up the “va-va-voom” factor by changing into a dazzling number for the reception.
A Glitzy Reception With a Speakeasy Feel
Queen Anne’s Lace and white roses effortlessly transformed a simple wedding cake into a three-tiered chic masterpiece.
Gilded chargers and gold feather place cards were stylish details found at each place setting. These gold details came together harmoniously with cafe globe string lights and lush white floral centerpieces.
For a speakeasy themed wedding, you can’t forget signature cocktails! Guests sipped on fresh gin-based drinks all night.
The End to a Perfect Night
During the reception, the bride and groom had a blast being lifted in chairs for the hora!
Guests took home tiny bottles of whiskey with custom art deco-inspired tags to pay homage to the speakeasy theme.
After dinner, dancing, and cake, the couple ended the perfect night with a late-night snack from the Wafels & Dinge food truck.
