Party in style with a royal celebration! Whether you’re planning the perfect fairy tale birthday bash for your prince or a lovely baby shower for the soon-to-arrive little princess, these DIY crown cupcake wrappers will elevate simple cupcakes to noble status.
Gather Your Supplies
For this project you’ll need:
- DIY Crown Template
- Cardstock paper (Choose pretty patterns and textures that match your party!)
- Scissors
- X-Acto Knife
- Pencil
1. Print Your Template
Begin by printing out your template. You can complete your crowns two ways:
– If you already have patterned paper you would like to use, print the template directly on your cardstock paper.
– If you have cardstock paper with some texture that won’t run through the printer, print out one template on regular paper and cut out one crown to trace with a pencil.
2. Cut Your Crowns
Cut along the crown shape with scissors, being careful not to cut off the tab. Once they are all cut, use the X-Acto knife to cut a small slit on the end opposite of the tab. Be sure to cut a line just the right length so the tab fits perfectly!
DIY Tip: Use an X-Acto knife around the rounded edges for a cleaner cut.
3. Assemble
Insert the tab into the slit to assemble each crown. After assembling, place cupcake into each wrapper.
DIY Tip: These cupcake wrappers also make fantastic mini crowns to wear! Just use a hole puncher to punch holes in the sides of the crown and tie one elastic string through each hole. It’s the perfect crown for baby’s first birthday party!
How will you be using your DIY crowns?
Happy Planning!
