A love of travel inspired this adorable up, up and away baby shower for a new mother-to-be. With a soft color palette and adorable details, this shower was definitely one to remember. Keep reading for all of the sweet details!
Up, Up and Away
The shower was held at the Ritz Carlton New Orleans. Chosen for it’s vantage point and view of the city, it truly made guests feel like they were up in the clouds. White and blue balloons anchored the tables and added a touch of whimsy to this up, up and away baby shower. They wanted guests to feel like they were in the clouds, and the groupings of balloons were the perfect touch.
A cute banner hung from the treats table and dishes spelling out the little one’s name were a perfect extra touch for this shower.
An Amazing Cake
The cake at this baby shower was a statement piece. Carefully decorated to match the theme, it was breathtaking.
Delicate details like stripes, banners and clouds decorated the sides, while an intricately created hot air balloon graced the top of the cake.
One last little touch: the baby’s name spelled out on the front of the cake. It truly was a work of art.
An Around the World Game
Guests were encouraged to participate in fun baby shower games, like a word scramble with different countries. All of the signage and game sheets perfectly matched the travel theme, too!
Amazing Decor and Gifts to Treasure
The mom-to-be was truly one lucky woman – the decor was gorgeously crafted and everyone showered her and her little man with sweet gifts to treasure. The centerpieces for the shower stole the show. Designed by the shower host, the centerpieces were crafted to look like hot air balloons with a basket full of flowers.
One loved little guy was showered with gifts from all mom’s friends and family!
The Sweetest Sweets
The first cake was stunning, but the host didn’t stop there. The shower was filled with sweets for the new mom and her guests. Naked cakes with blue cake centers were gorgeous when topped with a bit of frosting and fresh flowers.
Thoughtfully crafted cookies that matched the theme were also on display and gave guests plenty of treats to satisfy their sweet tooth.
A party isn’t complete without a parting gift! Each guest was gifted a stick of cotton candy “clouds” that perfectly fit the up, up and away theme.
